Inner Alchemy Workshop

$350.00

The power of transformation is the most vital force for making life fruitful, finding meaning, and realizing ourselves. Transformation has been the subject of alchemy throughout the ages. While external alchemy aimed to transform base metals into precious ones and discover the elixir of immortality, internal alchemy focuses on the transformation of life, emotions, and the ego, enabling us to fully realize our potential. This year, for the first time, we will be offering the Inner Alchemy course in English, which integrates the discoveries and methods of the brightest minds who have examined human life throughout history with the findings of contemporary scientific approaches.

Description

The power of transformation is the most vital force for making life fruitful, finding meaning, and realizing ourselves. Transformation has been the subject of alchemy throughout the ages. While external alchemy aimed to transform base metals into precious ones and discover the elixir of immortality, internal alchemy focuses on the transformation of life, emotions, and the ego, enabling us to fully realize our potential.

The Tao Te Ching by the great Taoist sage Lao Tzu, the Dharma of the Buddhist sage Buddha, the paradoxes of Heraclitus, and the works of countless wise individuals across the ages have illuminated this path for us.

This year, for the second time, we will be offering the Inner Alchemy course, which integrates the discoveries and methods of the brightest minds who have examined human life throughout history with the findings of contemporary scientific approaches. These courses, structured into three modules, also incorporate the content of our previously held Tao and Virtue courses. Some of the topics we will focus on in the first module include:

  • What is alchemy?
  • The Way and Virtue
  • Chaos and order
  • Motivation
  • Conditions and decisions
  • Daring to say, “I am fine”
  • Spontaneity, compassion, fearlessness
  • The meaning of winning
  • The power of listening
  • Stress
  • Letting go of self-criticism
  • Awareness
  • Time for sowing and time for reaping
  • Mastering time

In addition to these and other subjects essential for alchemical transformation, each module will include practices that are integral to Cem Şen’s teachings, such as muscle and tendon exercises and techniques for developing vital energy.

Students who complete this three-module training will, just as with our Tao and Virtue courses, become eligible to participate in our advanced training program, The Path of the Heart: Preparatory Training.
